Joke of the week

Joke of the week: At a Sunday school class the teacher asked a child do you pray to God before lunch or dinner?
The child said, “No ma'am, my moms a good cook!”

NBA lockout ?

The last NBA lockout happened in 1998-1999. The NBA season was shorten to 50 games (the normal season has 82 games). Now this year teh agreement between the NBA and the NBPA (Nationl Basketball Player Association) is expiring. Since the begining of the season they have been discussing to find a new agreement. But until today there was none.
The Player association is looking for the best for the players. But both associations are not getting to an argeement on how much the players and the organization get payed. Basket Related Income (BRI)

is the key for this problem here. A team makes money form tickets, jersey, etc. and it has to share this income with the players. The owners want more money and the Player's association wants more for the players. The agreement right now ( About 57% of BRI/income for players and about 43% for owners) is going to expire. If the owners and player's association cannot reach an agreement, no one gets payed, no one is playing for free and the owners aren't setting up a season without money. In my opinion there is going to be a lockout but not for the entire season. I think it's a terrible situation for the NBA.
