Hack-a-Shaq

This tactic used by coach Popovich in the 2009 NBA playoffs has been a huge factor in the series and was one of the main reasons the Spurs were able to eliminate the Suns. However, I find this rule a disgrace to the game and is something that should be changed. As Doug Collins has proposed ( who back then was a play-by-play analyst for TNT) the team should get a free-throw shot and the possession for every foul committed of the ball. The Suns were up 9 in the 4th qtr of game 1 and this strategy allowed the Spurs to get back into it and win it in double Over Time. However, it did not stop here, the Spurs also used the Hack-a-Shaq tactic in all the games during the series.

Running out of gaz?

The San Antonio Spurs have had a fantastic season.  After being swept by the Suns in last year's playoffs, the  Spurs came back with more motivation than ever. The fact that they have been healthy for most of the season is one of the major reasons why San Antonio are currently ranked first in the NBA.  However things are beginning to change. After having not only dominated the Western Conf, but the league in general, the Spurs find themselves on a 6 game losing streak! The Lakers (17-1 since the All-Star Break) are only down 1 in the Loss column.  Is that it for the Spurs? Have they simply ran out of gaz? Or will they bounce back to enter the playoffs on a high note?

2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

NBA lockout ?

The last NBA lockout happened in 1998-1999. The NBA season was shorten to 50 games (the normal season has 82 games). Now this year teh agreement between the NBA and the NBPA (Nationl Basketball Player Association) is expiring. Since the begining of the season they have been discussing to find a new agreement. But until today there was none.

This is the biggest football tournament of 2011. The round of 16 has been pretty exciting. Arsenal and Olympique de Marseille were both one goal away of eliminating European giants FC Barcelona and Manchester United.

Now that we have the results of the draw, the competition is becoming more and more interesting.

13 year old Rebecca Black has achieved her dream by recording her first single.  However, the song was not exactly well received by the American and International public. The “Friday” video could be at this moment the most hated video ever on youtube with over five million views.

Going in two different paths

Steve Nash is a future hall of famer and has almost achieved everything in his 15 year NBA career.
